Gratitude
It's the attitude of gratefulness!
And when we think about Your faithfulness,
we can't help but to release our Thank You!
Not just in words, but in praise!
We're so amazed at how Your ways always include our success!
Even when our lives felt like a total mess, you restored our souls and gave us rest!
Now, we behold the work of your magnificent hand
and we bless Your name because You are good!
God! You are simply so good!
What could have been our defeat, You declared it it not so!
You stopped the feet of our enemies and caused them to retreat
When we were confused about which path was ours,
Your Holy Spirit illuminated the signs that not only gave us direction,
but reminded us of Your protection,
Your hand always nudging us in loving correction,
drenched in affection and grace
So, now we crave the taste of your reproof
because it's factual evidence of Your benevolence
It's Your love on display in a way no one can deny
I mean we try to understand but we still don't know why You love the way You do
So true! So extravagant!
And You're always adamant about making a way when there's none in sight!
It's like You delight in making the impossible so easy
You hold all power in Your hands
And at Your command, the heavens and earth were created
God, we're so elated! Not just because You're good but because we belong to You!
You took the broken pieces of our lives, carved out something beautiful and made us new!
You put a crown on our heads and polished up every scratch!
You made us in Your image and likeness with the bonafide swag to match!
And we refuse to sit here like we did any of this ourselves
We know it's only because of Your grace that we're standing here today
You've consistently made a way out of none!
And just when we think You've outdone Yourself,
here You go again with another matchless win!
I mean You've provided blessing after blessing, over and over again!
And then You allow us to make Your name great,
'cuz people always wanna know how we're so blessed
Well, we gladly attest to the truth of Your glory!
All that You are, all that you have and all that You can do!
That's what You gave us through covenant with Your only begotten Son!
He is the great I AM, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, He is the Anointed One
The crazy thing is we didn't do a thing to deserve any of this,
We've been the object of your attention since the beginning of time and You were simply set on showering us with Your loving-kindness
So, right now in this moment we extend our heartfelt gratitude!
Thank You for being so kind! Thank You for the mercy You've shown us.
Thank You for every single time.
You've kept us. We can't keep up with all You've done but Lord You've been so good!
We should just stand up on our feet right now and give You all the praise You are due!
Father, from our hearts to Yours we simply want to say Thank You!!
